Additional Information
What motivated you to become a councillor?
I'd always been involved in the community - volunteering, fundraising, organising etc, so becoming a Councillor seemed a logical extension to that, to be able to continue doing those things but with the backing of the Council.
Background outside the council
My mum worked in an office, and my dad worked at garden centre - my sister and I were the first generation of our family to go to University. I ran a business for almost a decade before selling it to a competitor - I then qualified as a Barrister and now work in a non-legal role for a US software firm.
Hobbies or interests
Anything outdoors is always a good physical and mental switch-off for me - so running, hiking, or even walking the dog are what I tend to do with my spare time (the rest of it is spent supporting our local pub trade!)
