The Leader of the Council is responsible for:
Leading the Council; translating local communities’ aspirations into actions; setting and achieving the Council’s programme and being the major consultative role in external affairs.
Overall responsibility for Cabinet decisions and co-ordinating work of the Cabinet and specific responsibility for Strategic issues and the Fit for the Future programme.
