    Description

    The Cabinet Member will be responsible for:

    Corporate communications including reprographics, communications, benefit overpayments.  Management of the District Council’s technology and communications estate including the outsourced support contract with Northgate Solutions, compliance with security and data management standards, geographical Information systems including street numbering and naming service, client role for shared procurement function with Staffordshire County Council.  Safeguarding, equalities, customer service and channel shift.  The provision of a shared Health & Safety (H&S) Service for Lichfield DC, Stafford BC & Tamworth BC, Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety Legislation, H&S Policy/Procedures development and Implementation, Advice, guidance and support to the whole Council.

    Administration and collection of local taxation – council tax and national non-domestic rates; administration of housing and council tax benefits, and discounts for council tax; concessionary fares; the effective management and development of the collection of arrears for council tax, business rates, and benefit overpayments.  Provision of Corporate Insurance Services and Accident Investigation, Risk Management Strategy Implementation & Support sharing)
