Councillor Paul Ray

What motivated you to become a councillor?

To represent my local community by helping residents with issues they face, have a role in shaping the future of our district by working within the council and to promote the values of the Liberal Democrats for a better country.

Background outside the council

I am a partner in law firm and mainly work out of Birmingham. I specialise in finance law and I am experienced in advising businesses and organisations in the public sector. This gives me a very good insight into the issues facing businesses and other organisations.

I am married with three grown-up children and have family of all ages who have grown up and live in the Lichfield area.

Hobbies or interests

Sport and I love attending live sport events including golf, rugby, tennis and cricket.
