ITEM C – Observations on an application submitted to Staffordshire County Council
Staffordshire County Council Consultation
(L.20/03/867 M) Proposed sand and gravel extraction, the erection of associated plant and infrastructure andcreation of new access, in order to supply the HS2 project with ready mix concrete withexportation of surplus sand and gravel
The committee wished to reiterate their previous concerns raised to the proposals, as they felt these concerns had not been addressed by the additional information.
Lichfield District Council to respond to Staffordshire County Council setting out the strong concerns raised, using the Ward Councillor comments.
RESOLVED: That a consultation response be sent to Staffordshire County Council raising the concerns expressed.
(Prior to consideration of this item, representations were made by Councillor Mike Wilcox (Ward Councillor) who notified the committee that he was speaking as a representative for the Fradley & Alrewas residents as their Ward Councillor even though he had just been elected as a Staffordshire County Councillor for Burntwood South)
